Draft pending legal review. Not yet in effect.
Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME], doing business as Skosh (“Skosh,” “we,” “us” or “our”), handles personal information.
It applies to our website at skoshsites.com, our client portal, and the website design, hosting and change service we provide to our clients (together, the “Service”). “You” means anyone whose information we handle, including clients, prospective clients and visitors to skoshsites.com.
Information we collect
We collect the following kinds of information:
- Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and business name.
- Intake form answers and uploaded files: what you tell us about your business, and the logos, photos and text you send us.
- Change requests: what you ask us to change on your site, and any files you attach.
- Client portal sign-in: the email addresses approved to sign in for your business, and the one-time codes we email you. We store codes in hashed form, and they expire after 10 minutes.
- Billing information: our payment processor, Stripe, collects and stores your card details. We do not store full card numbers. We receive limited information such as your billing name, the last four digits of your card, and payment history.
- Website analytics and technical data: when you visit skoshsites.com, we collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. We use privacy-respecting analytics and essential cookies.
- Emails and messages: anything you send us by email or through our forms.

What we don’t do
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

- Hosting and content delivery
- Domain registration
- Payment processing
- Email delivery
- File storage
- Code hosting

- Software tools we use to build and update sites, including AI-assisted tools
Other times we may share information
We may disclose information if the law requires it, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Skosh, our clients or others.
If our business is sold, merged or reorganized, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the recipient to honor this Privacy Policy for information it receives from us.
Content on client websites is public
Client websites are public by design. Anything you ask us to publish on your site, such as your business name, address, phone number, staff names, photos and text, will be visible to anyone on the internet and may be indexed by search engines.
Visitors to our clients’ websites
Each client is responsible for its own website’s privacy notice and for how it uses information collected through its site.
When a visitor submits a contact form on a client’s site, we process that submission on the client’s behalf so it can be delivered to the client. If you are a visitor to a client’s site and have a question about your information, please contact that business directly.
Cookies and analytics
On skoshsites.com and in the client portal, we use essential cookies needed for the site and portal to work, such as keeping you signed in.
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are visited and how our website performs. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active, and after that for a reasonable period, generally up to 24 months, unless the law requires us to keep it longer, such as tax and billing records.
One-time sign-in codes are deleted after they expire.
Information from prospective clients who don’t sign up is kept only as long as it is useful to respond to them, up to the same 24-month limit.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, such as encrypted connections, hashed sign-in codes, limited access, and relying on Stripe to handle card details.
No system is perfectly secure, and we can’t guarantee the security of information sent over the internet. If you think your account has been compromised, please contact us right away.

The Service is meant for businesses and organizations. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your personal information, subject to exceptions the law allows, such as records we must keep

As noted above, we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
